The Story of Rose
It is a story about 87 yrs. old woman, who studied college at her age. She meet a guy whom her classmate and became her instant friend. At her age, she loves to dress and became the student icon. Her friend invited her to be their guest in their football banquet. In her speech, going to college is not about how old are you or how young are you. People grow in their own way, people grow older by age, but that’s just a number. What can you do when you’re old? Rose doesn’t like living at home for the whole day and lay down after eating. She wants to have a college education and have her degree. Rose maybe grows old by age but never grow old by education. It is never too late in education, everybody deserve to have their own degree. Being old is not a hindrance of aiming what you what to be. Dreams are forever, it never grow old. After her speech that day, she sings a song entitled “The Rose” she challenges each of the student to study the lyrics.
One week after her graduation, Rose died peacefully in her sleep. 2000 students attended her funeral, as a tribute to her encouragements and as a good example to everyone that it is never too late to be what you want to be.
